Susanna de Lima is a clinical psychologist and has been involved in developing various treatment models for vulnerable adults and young people with complex difficulties, including substance abuse problems, since 2001.

On a daily basis, Susanna works with professional development tasks, supervision, teaching and therapy in relation to vulnerable young people with a special interest in vulnerable young people with substance abuse problems and the complexity of this target group. Susanna sees an important challenge in spotting substance abuse problems among young people and vulnerable young people as early as possible, as we have a special opportunity to prevent young people from developing a life of abuse. The special challenge lies in both unfolding the complexity and at the same time finding out the underlying factors that keep the individual young person in problematic substance use/abuse.

In addition, Susanna has extensive experience with implementing mentalization-based treatment approaches in various contexts, including milieu therapeutic, pedagogical and clinical contexts.

Susanna offers teaching and supervision in mentalization-based approaches to adults and young people.
