Siden januar 2017 har hun arbejdet som selvstændig psykolog. Sophie har mange års erfaring med supervision, undervisning og terapi samt familiebehandling. Hun har gennem flere år arbejdet i en familiebehandlingsenhed som familiebehandler, supervisor og terapeut med fokus på implementering af den mentaliseringsbaserede tilgang i familiebehandling, supervision og terapi. Her har hun især haft fokus på at fremme mentalisering hos forældre og familiebehandlere i arbejdet med udsatte børn, unge og familier.
